Complaints and Appeals
Journal of Sleep, Health, and Physiotherapy · ISSN 3085-6167 · Updated Jun 15, 2026
The Journal of Sleep, Health, and Physiotherapy welcomes feedback and provides clear, fair channels for appeals against editorial decisions and complaints about editorial processes or conduct.
Appeals Against Decisions
Authors may appeal a rejection once, in writing, addressed to the editor-in-chief, within 30 days of the decision. The appeal must present a specific, point-by-point scientific justification — for example, a clear misunderstanding by a reviewer or new evidence. Disagreement with the decision alone is not sufficient grounds.
Appeals are assessed by the editor-in-chief or an editor not involved in the original decision, who may consult new reviewers. The outcome is final.
Complaints
Complaints about editorial processes, ethics handling, or the conduct of editors or staff should be sent to editorial@oxtonjournals.com. They are acknowledged within 7 working days and investigated by someone not involved in the matter, following COPE guidance.
Escalation
If a complainant is not satisfied with the response, the matter may be escalated to the institutional responsible of Oxton Journals. The journal keeps a record of complaints and uses them to improve its processes.
