Terms of Use

Last updated: Jun 15, 2026

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the Oxton Journals platform and of the websites of its hosted journals. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these terms.

Purpose of the Platform

Oxton Journals provides infrastructure for scholarly publishing: submission, peer review, editorial management and open access publication of scientific journals. Use of the platform is restricted to legitimate scholarly purposes.

Accounts and Responsibilities

Users must provide accurate and current information at registration and keep their credentials confidential. Each account is personal and non-transferable. Users are responsible for all activity performed under their account and must notify the Editorial Office immediately of any suspected unauthorized use.

Obligations of Authors and Reviewers

Authors warrant that submitted manuscripts are original, do not infringe third-party rights and comply with the ethical requirements described in the journals' policies. Reviewers undertake to treat manuscripts as confidential documents and to act impartially. Violations of publication ethics are handled under the platform's Editorial Integrity policy and may result in suspension of the account.

Intellectual Property

Published articles are governed by the license stated on each article page (CC BY 4.0 by default), with copyright retained by the authors. The platform's software, visual identity and editorial content (excluding articles) belong to Oxton Journals and may not be reproduced without authorization. The names and ISSNs of the hosted journals identify their respective journals exclusively.

Acceptable Use

It is prohibited to use the platform to submit fraudulent content, to attempt unauthorized access to editorial records, to harvest personal data, to interfere with the operation of the service or to misrepresent affiliation or identity. The platform may suspend accounts involved in such conduct, with notice and the right to respond.

Service and Liability

Oxton Journals strives to keep the platform continuously available but does not warrant uninterrupted operation. The platform is not liable for indirect damages arising from temporary unavailability. The scholarly record of published articles is preserved under the digital preservation policy of each journal.

Changes and Contact

These terms may be updated; material changes are announced on this page with the revision date. Questions about these terms should be addressed to editorial@oxtonjournals.com. The governing law is the law of Brazil.
