Research Data Policy
Journal of Sleep, Health, and Physiotherapy · ISSN 3085-6167 · Updated Jun 15, 2026
The Journal of Sleep, Health, and Physiotherapy encourages open, transparent and reproducible research. Sharing the data underlying published results strengthens the scientific record.
Data Availability Statement
Every manuscript must include a Data Availability Statement describing whether and how the underlying data can be accessed — for example: deposited in a named repository with a DOI/accession; available from the corresponding author on reasonable request; contained within the article and supplementary files; or, with justification, not publicly available due to privacy or ethical restrictions (common with clinical and sleep data).
Repositories and Standards
Deposit in recognized general or disciplinary repositories (with persistent identifiers) is recommended. Data should follow the FAIR principles, with adequate documentation and, where applicable, an open data license. Datasets should be cited in the reference list.
Sensitive Data
For data involving human participants — including actigraphy, polysomnography and clinical records — sharing must respect informed consent and anonymization requirements. Restrictions are legitimate when necessary, provided they are stated and justified.
Code and Materials
For studies with computational analysis, sharing analysis code and key materials is encouraged to support reproducibility. Supplementary files may be uploaded with the submission.
