Waiver Policy
Journal of Sleep, Health, and Physiotherapy · ISSN 3085-6167 · Updated Jun 15, 2026
The Journal of Sleep, Health, and Physiotherapy is committed to equity in scientific publishing. Where fees apply, the journal offers waivers so that the ability to pay never determines the ability to publish.
Eligibility
- Authors based in low- and middle-income countries;
- Students and early-career researchers without research funding;
- Authors facing demonstrable financial hardship;
- Invited contributions and articles arising from journal initiatives.
How to Request
Waiver requests should be made at submission, with a brief justification, and are evaluated administratively and promptly.
Separation from Editorial Decisions
The evaluation of waiver requests is completely separate from peer review. The editors and reviewers handling a manuscript are not informed of its fee or waiver status.
Current Context
Because the journal currently charges no submission fee and no APC for regular submissions, waivers presently apply only to the optional fast track service.
