Research Data Policy

Oxton Science Journal · ISSN 3086-0881 · Updated Jun 15, 2026

Oxton Science Journal encourages open, transparent and reproducible research. Sharing the data underlying published results strengthens the scientific record and is supported by the journal.

Data Availability Statement

Every manuscript must include a Data Availability Statement describing whether and how the underlying data can be accessed. Examples: data deposited in a named repository with a DOI/accession; data available from the corresponding author on reasonable request; data contained within the article and its supplementary files; or, with justification, data not publicly available (e.g., privacy or ethical restrictions).

Repositories and Standards

Deposit in recognized general or disciplinary repositories (with persistent identifiers) is recommended. Data should follow the FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable), with adequate documentation and, where applicable, an open data license. Datasets should be cited in the reference list.

Sensitive Data

For data involving human participants, sharing must respect informed consent and privacy/anonymization requirements. Restrictions are legitimate when necessary, provided they are stated and justified.

Code and Materials

For computational studies, sharing analysis code and key materials is encouraged to support reproducibility. Supplementary files may be uploaded with the submission.
